Tokyo Disneyland Unveils New Space Mountain Ride: Earthrise

Tokyo Disneyland has announced the name of its upcoming new Space Mountain ride: Space Mountain Earthrise. The indoor roller coaster will feature a unique design and will be part of the park's Tomorrowland expansion.

The 'Earthrise' in Space Mountain Earthrise refers to the sight of Earth from space, as it rises from beyond the Moon's beauty and preciousness of Earth as an unparalleled existence within the universe. This concept is unique to Japan among Space Mountain attractions at Disney theme parks worldwide.

The new ride will open next year and will feature on-board audio, lighting, and theatrical effects. The park has been under construction for some time now, with the former Space Mountain site being used as a building area for the new ride.
