Tokyo Disneyland Unveils Record-Breaking Space Coaster and Sugar Rush Ride
Tokyo Disneyland is set to unveil two new attractions in its Tomorrowland area: Space Mountain Earthrise and Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue. The former is an indoor roller coaster that will take guests on a journey through outer space, featuring brand-new architecture and a ride system that combines imaginative storytelling and immersive theatrical effects inspired by the wonders of space.
The ride vehicles for Space Mountain Earthrise will come equipped with an onboard audio system, making it a first for roller coasters at Tokyo Disney Resort. The attraction's exterior incorporates curved features designed after celestial bodies and natural forms like trees and flowers, representing the connection between space and nature.
Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue is set to open in Spring 2027 and will transport guests into a vibrant game world where Ralph, Vanellope, and others need their help to save the candy-filled world from Sugar Bugs. This attraction introduces new technology for an interactive experience that is the first of its kind for any Disney theme park.
