Tokyo Disney's Halloween Parade Now Costs Extra for Prime Viewing
Disney has added another paywall to its Tokyo Disneyland theme park, this time charging $22 per person for premium viewing of the 'Into the Frenzy' Halloween parade. The increased price marks a significant jump from the typical Premier Access fee of $16 per person.
This upcharge is effective starting September 16 and will run through October 31. Tokyo Disney Resort has also implemented a 40% price increase for the Halloween parade, making it one of the most expensive options at the park.
Disney's move to charge extra fees for premium viewing is not new. The company has been introducing paywalls and upcharges in recent years, including the elimination of free FastPass and the introduction of paid Lightning Lane access. Premier Pass holders can also enter each eligible Lightning Lane once without return windows, but at a cost ranging from $129 to $449 per person.
While some guests may be willing to pay for premium viewing, others may find it prohibitive. The price increase is likely to affect tourist season and potentially impact the overall experience of visiting Tokyo Disneyland.
