Toxic Workplace Culture at JPMorgan Chase: Engineer Regrets Leaving Startup for Higher Pay

A software engineer who left a startup for JPMorgan Chase is now grappling with long work hours, constant stress, and a toxic workplace.

The employee, who shared his experience on Reddit, said he was initially drawn to the multinational bank's higher pay but soon realized that the benefits didn't outweigh the drawbacks.

'I hate waking up every day to go to work. I feel mentally exhausted and physically my body shakes at the thought of going to work,' the engineer said, highlighting the physical toll of his new job.

He claimed that his reporting structure changed three times during his first month at JPMorgan Chase, and colleagues who joined alongside him were removed from the team after struggling to adapt.
