Toy Story 5 Holds Top Spot on UK Home Entertainment Sales Chart
The animated film Toy Story 5 has retained its top spot on the Official Film Chart in the UK for another week, this time through September 2. The chart, which tracks home entertainment sales, saw no changes to the top four spots, with Disney/Pixar's Obsession holding at number two and Universal's Minions & Monsters staying put at number three.
The rest of the top five also remained unchanged, with Focus Features' supernatural horror film Obsession still holding a strong position after nine weeks on the chart. However, Paramount's new release Jackass: Best and Last jumped into fifth place, featuring Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass crew in one final round of stunts, pranks, and self-inflicted chaos.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie climbed one spot to number six in its 15th week on the chart, followed by Warner's animated Batman: Knightfall Part 1, Knightfall at number seven. Disney/Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu dropped three spots to number eight after six weeks.
Two new entries joined the chart, with Studiocanal's Evil Dead Burn debuting at number nine and Amazon MGM Studios' The Sheep Detectives rounding out the top 10 in its debut. The latter film generated $132.7 million at the global box office, while Jackass: Best and Last managed a franchise-low $27.8 million.
