TradeStation Brings Single-Stock Futures to Over 50 Leading US Stocks
TradeStation has expanded its offerings to include access to CME single-stock futures contracts on over 50 leading US stocks, including Apple, Amazon, and Tesla. This move brings the number of brokers offering these products to five, following in the footsteps of Schwab, NinjaTrader, EdgeClear, Optimus Futures, and Plus500.
The new contracts allow traders to take long or short positions on individual stocks without owning or borrowing the underlying assets. This is made possible through micro-sized contracts with a 10-share multiplier, which lowers the barrier to entry for retail investors and provides greater flexibility in managing exposure.
TradeStation President John Bartleman stated that single-stock futures give active traders another way to trade the names they're already watching, offering futures-style access to individual stocks with margin-based long and short exposure, financial settlement, and extended trading hours.
