Travelers Insurance Receives Boost from Meeder Advisory Services Investment

Meeder Advisory Services Inc., an institutional investor, has acquired a new stake in The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TRV) worth $1.76 million.

The investment consists of 5,338 shares of the insurance provider's stock, which were purchased in the second quarter. This is not the only recent investment in TRV by Meeder Advisory Services; they also acquired a new stake in the company during the first quarter.

Other institutional investors have also made significant investments in TRV. For example, Osterweis Capital Management Inc. raised its stake in shares of TRV by 1,820.0% in the second quarter, while HHM Wealth Advisors LLC lifted its position in shares of TRV by 145.7% in the first quarter.

The travel industry's largest insurance provider has experienced a surge in stock price due to strong earnings performance. In July, TRV reported $10.04 EPS for the quarter, exceeding analysts' expectations by $4.63. The company also announced a quarterly dividend of $1.25 per share, payable on September 30th.
