Trenton Ironhawks Hire Brett Boeing as Assistant Coach
Brett Boeing has been hired by the Trenton Ironhawks as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season. The 31-year-old native of Barrington, Illinois, brings significant coaching experience to the role.
Boeing previously worked as an assistant coach and director of hockey operations for the Iowa Heartlanders during the 2025-26 season. He also served as an assistant coach for the Tahoe Knight Monsters in the 2024-25 season and as a volunteer assistant coach for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL during the 2023-24 season.
Boeing's coaching career began after playing three seasons of professional hockey in the ECHL, where he recorded 87 points across 164 games with the Toledo Walleye, Reading Royals, and Wichita Thunder. He also played overseas in Sweden for a season, contributing to the Ostersunds IK.
