Trevor Noah Brings Satire to Google's Made by Google Event

Google's Made by Google event was hosted by comedian and former Daily Show host Trevor Noah. This choice may seem unusual, but it made sense given Noah's reputation for skewering political figures and tech companies with satire.

Noah has been Microsoft's Chief Questions Officer since 2024, exploring the impact of AI on nonprofits in a web series called The Prompt. Despite his criticism of corporate world domination, he was expected to avoid making too many barbs at Google during the event.

However, Noah did manage to inject some humor and edge into the proceedings, often veering into slightly edgier territory than expected. He poked fun at a fake feature called Search Roulette, which would send search history to random people on your phone.

Noah also showed genuine enthusiasm for emerging tech, admitting that he has a complicated relationship with technology and can't live without it. During the event, he joked about the Pixel 11's new cameras and even took a shot at Google's hardware design team, saying they didn't invent black color.
