Tripura and Salesforce Team Up for Digital Skills Training
Salesforce and the Government of Tripura have joined forces to equip over 10,000 learners with digital skills by 2027. The collaboration uses Salesforce's online learning platform, Trailhead, which offers self-paced learning opportunities for students, youth, government employees, and entrepreneurs.
The programme comes as artificial intelligence and digital technologies reshape workplaces, public services, and businesses, increasing demand for technology and business skills. Participants will have access to curated learning paths in areas such as customer relationship management (CRM), business analysis, and technology fundamentals.
Salesforce will also provide online orientation resources to help participants navigate Trailhead and their learning journeys. The Directorate of Information Technology will identify and mobilise participants through government departments, educational institutions, and skill-development agencies.
Tripura is developing its digital and technology ecosystem with the creation of the Tripura IT and Data Ecosystem Zone (TIDEZ) in Agartala. This includes a planned IT Park and AI Centre of Excellence.
