Tripura Partners with Salesforce to Train 10,000 Learners in Digital Skills
The state government of Tripura has partnered with Salesforce to provide digital skills training to over 10,000 learners by 2027. The initiative aims to strengthen the workforce for an AI-driven economy and will use Trailhead, Salesforce's online learning platform. The programme will offer guided learning paths covering customer relationship management (CRM), business analysis, technology fundamentals, and other digital skills.
The partnership comes as Tripura expands its digital infrastructure and technology ecosystem. The state is developing the Tripura IT and Data Ecosystem Zone (TIDEZ) in Agartala, along with a planned IT Park and AI Centre of Excellence. Salesforce will provide online orientation resources to help participants navigate Trailhead, while the Directorate of Information Technology will identify learners through government departments, educational institutions, and skill development agencies.
Kiran Gitte, Secretary, Information Technology, Government of Tripura, said the partnership would connect the state's digital infrastructure investments with workforce development. 'Our partnership with Salesforce marks a key milestone in Tripura's digital journey,' he stated. The programme is intended to complement the state's investments in digital infrastructure and technology ecosystem.
