Truist Appoints Sumit Sukhramani as CIO, Head of Lending Technology

Truist Financial Corporation has announced the appointment of Sumit Sukhramani as Chief Information Officer (CIO), Head of Lending Technology and Executive Vice President. This move marks a significant career milestone for Sukhramani, who brings over 25 years of technology leadership experience to his new role.

Sukhramani's background is deeply rooted in lending technology, digital transformation, and enterprise-scale modernization. Prior to joining Truist, he spent six years at Wells Fargo, where he held various senior technology leadership positions across the bank's consumer lending businesses.

At Wells Fargo, Sukhramani served as CIO, Head of Home Lending & Unsecured Lending Technology, overseeing technology leadership responsibilities for Home Lending, Credit Card, Personal Lending, Merchant Services, and Retail Services. He also held positions such as CIO, Head of Home Lending Technology and CIO, Head of Auto Lending Technology.

Sukhramani's extensive career with JPMorgan Chase & Co. further demonstrates his expertise in technology, engineering, portfolio management, lending, and transformation leadership. His roles included Service Transformation Executive, where he led an organization responsible for developing next-generation call-center servicing platforms.
