Trump, 80, Hides Bruised Hand with Makeup at Irish Golf Tournament
President Donald Trump, who is now 80 years old, has been spotted at his golf club in Ireland trying to hide his chronically bruised hand with a thick layer of makeup. The Amgen Irish Open golf tournament was held at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, on Sunday.
The purple and reddish discoloration from the bruise appeared to peek out around the edges of the makeup-covered area, making his skin look almost reptilian. Trump has claimed that the bruising is due to frequent handshaking and a higher-than-recommended amount of aspirin, 325 milligrams daily, for the last 25 years.
This is not the first time Trump has attempted to hide the bruise, as he has been seen dabbing on makeup, clasping his hand with his left hand, or tucking it under a table. However, his handshake defense lost credibility after his left hand began showing discoloration as well.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Trump's health has been a subject of concern, particularly in recent years, due to his age and physical issues such as chronic venous insufficiency, which makes it difficult for blood to return to the heart from the lower extremities.
