Trump Brings Armoured Golf Buggy to Ireland Amid Security Clampdown

US President Donald Trump's visit to Ireland continues with heightened security measures in place across County Clare and parts of Limerick. The American leader is expected to spend Sunday watching the final round of the Amgen Irish Open at his Doonbeg golf resort, where he will follow Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy in a specially built armoured golf buggy.

The President's appearance comes after sparking controversy with his public backing of Irish reunification just 24 hours prior. Trump is also set to present the winner's trophy and watch tournament leader Shane Lowry later in the day.

An Garda Síochána has confirmed that enhanced policing protocols will remain in effect throughout Sunday, particularly around Doonbeg, Shannon Airport, and key transit corridors connecting West Clare to Limerick. Motorists are being warned to prepare for temporary rolling road closures as official motorcades move between locations.

The President is scheduled to depart Shannon Airport for the United States at around 8 o'clock tonight. Spectators attending the Irish Open in Doonbeg will face airport-style security checks, bag size restrictions, and mandatory park-and-ride shuttle usage.
