Trump Comments Send Oil Prices Sharply Lower, Boosting US Stocks
U.S. stock futures rose slightly on Tuesday after President Donald Trump's comments eased fears of further military strikes on Iran, sending oil prices sharply lower.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq-100 futures all gained between 0.2% and 0.3%, building on Monday's strong gains when the Dow closed at a record high.
Investors are now turning their attention to corporate earnings reports from major companies including McDonald's, Caterpillar, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), as well as economic data releases such as June factory orders and U.S. international trade data.
