Trump Demands Chevron Cut Fuel Prices Amid Iran War Fallout
US President Donald Trump has taken aim at Chevron, calling on the oil giant to lower fuel prices for American consumers. In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticized Mike Wirth, Chairman and CEO of Chevron, for not crediting his administration's efforts in supporting the oil industry.
Trump claimed that Chevron's success stems from his policies, stating that 'without the genius, foresight, strength, and stability of the TRUMP Administration, the Oil Industry, and our Country itself, would be DEAD!'
The president's demand for lower petrol prices comes as he faces criticism over the US-Israel war on Iran, which has led to a surge in fuel prices. Trump had previously asserted that fuel prices would 'come down like a rock' after the conflict with Iran ends.
