Trump Hails Bangladesh's Boeing Deal, Eyes Meeting with PM Tarique Rahman
US President Donald Trump has expressed his appreciation for Bangladesh's decision to purchase Boeing aircraft. In a letter to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Trump said he looked forward to meeting him in the near future.
The deal involves buying 14 Boeing aircraft from the US company at a cost of $3.7 billion. The aircraft will be supplied to Biman between 2031 and 2035.
Trump's envoy on South and Central Asia Affairs, Sergio Gor, referred to the decision as 'another incredible Deal' made by President Trump and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He stated that the deal would significantly increase their initial order and boost the economy.
