Trump Hails Bangladesh's Bright Future and Boeing Deal
US President Donald Trump has expressed his enthusiasm for meeting Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman soon. In a letter to the Prime Minister, Trump stated that he believes Bangladesh and its people have a very bright future under Rahman's leadership.
The US President also commended the Prime Minister's decision to purchase Boeing aircraft, saying that Boeing will not let Bangladesh down. The deal, valued at $3.7 billion, involves the purchase of 14 planes for Biman Bangladesh Airlines, with the first aircraft expected to arrive in 2031 and the rest by 2035.
The US President's letter was seen as a positive development for Bangladesh-US relations, which have been growing in recent years. However, some critics have raised questions about the timing of the deal and whether it was influenced by pressure from the United States.
