Trump Praises Bangladesh's Boeing Deal, Looks Forward to Meeting PM Rahman
US President Donald Trump has expressed his appreciation for Bangladesh's decision to purchase Boeing aircraft, calling it a significant move that will bring benefits to both countries. In a letter to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Trump said he looked forward to meeting him 'in not too distant future'.
'I just received your letter concerning the purchase of Boeing Aircraft, and I very much appreciate your decision of purchase,' Trump wrote. 'Boeing will not let you down, and I will not forget.'
The aircraft deal is worth $3.7 billion, with Bangladesh committing to buy 14 Boeings and lease more in stages between 2031 and 2035.
Trump also expressed his confidence that under Rahman's leadership, the people of Bangladesh will have a 'very bright future.' He extended his warmest regards and love to the people of Bangladesh.
