Trump Predicts Oil Prices Won't Fall Until After Midterms
US stock futures declined as Brent crude futures topped $101 per barrel, closing at its highest level since May amid growing worries about oil supplies.
President Donald Trump told reporters that high energy prices won't come down until after November's midterm elections. He also predicted the Iran war will end 'immediately after the election'.
Apple joined the foldable phone market with its new iPhone Duo, which opens into a 7.6-inch display and starts at $1,999. The company also announced an AI-powered Siri, the A20 Pro chip, and an Apple Watch feature that can listen to, summarize, and recall conversations.
The Treasury Department will buy back up to $6 billion of government debt, triple the normal level, to stabilize the bond market. However, this move did little to calm the market as the 10-year Treasury yield climbed above 4.8% after the news.
