Trump Slams ExxonMobil and Chevron Over 'Too Much Money' from Higher Fuel Prices
US President Donald Trump has targeted ExxonMobil and Chevron for making 'too much money' off higher fuel prices, calling on them to lower gasoline prices. The oil giants reported blowout second-quarter earnings after the ongoing war in Iran kept oil prices high.
'I don't like it,' Trump told reporters on Monday. 'Chevron, too much money. ExxonMobil, too much. Too much money.'
Trump has a history of using public pressure to influence corporate decisions and has continued this approach since his return to office. He also criticized Chevron CEO Mike Wirth for not crediting the administration's efforts in helping the oil industry.
