Trump Team Pours Up to $5 Million into Top Payment Processors
President Donald Trump's investment team made significant purchases in June, according to his financial disclosure report. The team placed approximately 21,000 trades on the president's behalf in 2025, with over 1,000 trades completed in June alone.
The investments included buying shares of Visa (V), Mastercard (MA), and Cintas (CTAS) worth between $1 million and $5 million. These companies are among the top payment processors in the US, with Visa and Mastercard returning over 1,800% and 2,380%, respectively, since 2010.
Visa's management team has chosen to stick solely to electronic payment facilitation, avoiding lending and thereby minimizing potential delinquencies and loan losses. This strategy allows both companies to recover faster from recessions than their peers.
Cintas, a corporate identity uniform and business services provider, saw its shares soar by over 85,000% since its IPO in August 1983. The company's management has been aggressive with acquisitions, including the recent announcement of a cash and stock deal to acquire UniFirst for $5.5 billion.
