Trump-Touted IndyCar Race Draws Major Corporate Sponsors
The IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix, touted by President Donald Trump, is set to take place around Washington, D.C. on Sunday, August 22. This event marks a significant milestone in the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
New sponsors for this year's race include Boeing, SpaceX's Starlink, and Delta Air Lines, which will be joining existing partners such as General Motors, Honda, and United Airlines. The event has garnered dozens of corporate sponsors, allowing executives to mingle with administration officials and lawmakers expected to attend the race.
Trump is scheduled to wave the green flag at the start of the race and take a lap around the course in the presidential limousine. He will also invite some executives to watch the race with him in a special suite, according to sources. Many senior executives and members of Congress are expected to be on hand for the event.
