Kazi Wahid ul Alam, an aviation expert in Dhaka, described US President Donald Trump's actions as Bangladesh considered purchasing Boeing aircraft as those of a salesman. He noted that every head of state tries to sell their product when visiting another country or exchanging ideas with counterparts.

According to Alam, Trump advocates for selling not only Boeing aircraft but also other products like wheat and more to Bangladesh, considering the market mature for growth. The expert views this positively, seeing it as an opportunity for Bangladesh's aviation industry.

Regarding the decision to upgrade Cox's Bazar airport into an international one, Alam expressed caution, stating that it would not serve much purpose due to low traffic and cargo in the area. He also pointed out that existing airports like Chittagong and Sylhet are underutilized.
