Trump's June Trading Spree Exceeds 1,000 Trades
President Donald Trump made over 1,000 trades in June, according to a financial disclosure published by the US Office of Government Ethics. The transactions totaled between $78.1 million and $263.1 million.
The largest transaction was a sale of between $5 million and $25 million of shares in a Vanguard Group Inc. exchange-traded fund on June 22. Trump also made significant purchases of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Visa Inc., Mastercard Inc., Cintas Corp., Palantir, Coinbase, and Home Depot.
He bought between $1,001 and $15,000 of Palantir on June 3, before selling between $15,001 and $50,000 on June 16 and between $500,000 and $1 million on June 18. Trump made these trades in the wake of a peace deal with Iran on June 14.
The White House claims there are no conflicts of interest because Trump's investments are independently managed through computer-based model portfolios that automatically replicate recognized indexes.
