Trump's Wild Ride: 1051 Trades, $49M in Purchases
Donald Trump's financial activities in June have been revealed through his latest filing. The former US president made over 1,051 transactions across stocks, bonds, and ETFs, with a total value of more than $49 million in purchases and $28.5 million in sales.
The largest single transaction was the sale of Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (VIG) for between $5 million and $25 million on June 22. On the same day, Trump bought between $1 million and $5 million each of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) and Home Depot (HD).
Trump also made significant trades in other assets, including Meta Platforms (META), Motorola Solutions (MSI), Cintas (CTAS), Visa (V), Mastercard (MA), iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF (GOVT), Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK), and iShares GSCI Commodity Dynamic Roll Strategy ETF (COMT).
Interestingly, Trump's purchase of Berkshire Hathaway shares for the first time in June occurred during a period when the company's cash reserves were declining. This led to speculation about new CEO Greg Abel's investment strategy.
