Trust Becomes Top Priority for McDonald's Philippines as Digital Landscape Shifts
Margarita 'Margot' Torres, Managing Director of McDonald's Philippines, emphasizes the importance of trust in building meaningful and lasting business success. In a conversation with The Business Manual on July 28, she believes that earning and sustaining trust may become one of the most critical leadership requirements for companies in the future.
As a brand steward, Torres considers herself responsible not only for marketing but also for delivering quality service and products, investing in employee growth, engaging with communities and stakeholders, developing technology to improve experiences, and strengthening supply chains. She views the brand as more than just a logo; it is the sum of every customer experience with McDonald's Philippines.
Torres' philosophy was put into practice during the pandemic when she led Task Force T3, a public-private partnership aimed at Test, Trace, and Treat COVID-19. The initiative included isolation centers and PPE donations, and Torres served as the group's communications lead, representing McDonald's Philippines and the private sector.
