Twitch Streamers Upset Over Forced AI Training Enrolment

Twitch is facing backlash from users after introducing a new policy that automatically enrolls streamers in Amazon's AI training program.

The company explained that if the option to opt-in was available, no one would participate, as stated by Mike Minton, Twitch's head of community and chief product officer.

User backlash has been swift, with many sharing tips on how to find and disable the AI training feature in account settings. However, some users have reported that the setting re-enables itself after checking.

Twitch could have mitigated this backlash by offering incentives or compensation for users who opt-in voluntarily, rather than forcing them into the program.
