Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Closes on September 9th, Free Entry Perk to Return in 2027
Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon water park will close for its annual refurbishment on September 9th, ending the free entry perk for resort guests. This benefit has been available since May 26th and was set to expire on September 8th. However, the good news is that Disney has confirmed it will return in summer 2027.
The closure of Typhoon Lagoon coincides with the end of the Cool Kids' Summer event. During this time, resort guests could access both water parks for free on their check-in day. When Typhoon Lagoon reopens, Blizzard Beach is expected to close for its refurbishment. This alternating schedule allows both parks to be open during peak seasons.
Disney World hotel perks include Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Hours, and a 7-day booking window for Lightning Lanes, among other benefits.
