U.S. Stocks Slump Amid Sector-Wide Losses
U.S. equities closed lower on Wednesday as losses in key sectors weighed on shares.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.77%, hitting a new one-month low, while the S&P 500 index fell 0.48% and the NASDAQ Composite dropped 0.64%.
IBM topped the gainers list with a 3.38% rise to $239.94, followed closely by Chevron Corp's 1.91% increase to $213.81, and JPMorgan Chase & Co's 0.34% growth to $354.71.
On the other hand, Boeing Co slumped 2.05% to $206.42, Procter & Gamble Company dropped 2.02% to $142.64, and Salesforce Inc shed 1.99% to $244.16.
