Uber Adds Amazon's Self-Driving Robotaxis to Ride-Hailing Fleet
Uber Technologies Inc. and Amazon's autonomous vehicle unit Zoox announced a partnership to integrate Zoox's purpose-built robotaxis into Uber's ride-hailing network.
The collaboration aims to introduce self-driving cars to Uber users while keeping Zoox's existing app-based service running.
Zoox vehicles are designed from the ground up for ride-hailing, focusing on passenger comfort and social interaction.
The rollout is set to begin in Las Vegas in summer 2026, with Los Angeles scheduled to follow by mid-2027.
