At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026, Uber (Uber) presented its steady-growth story built on membership and autonomous vehicles. The company's Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi emphasized that Uber has kept its strategy consistent for years, but also pointed to risks and work still ahead.

The top-line growth of Uber has topped 20% for four straight quarters while margins have improved. With more than 50 million members in its membership program, Uber One, the company's gross bookings from these users account for about 50%. Membership growth is at 50% year over year, and those who join spend three times as much as non-members.

The delivery business of Uber has moved beyond restaurant meals. Grocery and retail now represent a $15 billion category and are growing more than 40% annually. The company sees an opportunity in sparse markets, where penetration is at 10% versus 50% in core markets.
