UCSD Students Hack Boeing 737 in Under a Minute
A team of graduate students at UC San Diego (UCSD) has successfully hacked into a Boeing 737 aircraft, gaining remote access to its mainframe computer in just under a minute.
The device used for the hack is about the size of a quarter and was part of a six-year university program aimed at researching vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure.
The students contacted Boeing after hacking into the plane's system and shared their findings with the company. In response, Boeing stated that 'Safety is the foundation of everything we do, and we take threats to our products seriously.'
