UK Sets New Salary Thresholds for Skilled Worker Visa Holders Seeking Permanent Residency
The UK government has announced new salary requirements for foreign nationals seeking permanent residence in the country. The guidelines apply to Skilled Worker and Health and Care Worker visa holders, who must earn at least £41,700 per year or the standard going rate for their occupation, whichever is higher.
However, there are certain categories of workers that fall outside this framework and have different salary rules. These include those in healthcare or education, as well as individuals on specific types of visas such as International Sportsperson or Minister of Religion.
The new guidelines come into effect immediately and will impact many foreign nationals working in the UK on skilled worker routes.
