The UK government has specified financial requirements for Student and Child Student visa applicants, which include covering course fees and living costs. The amounts vary depending on whether the applicant studies in London or elsewhere, with those studying in London needing to show significantly more funds per month.

Course fees are set out in the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), while living costs range from £1,171 to £1,529 per month. Applicants must also provide proof that they have enough money to cover dependants' costs, which vary depending on their living arrangements.

The UK government accepts several sources of funds, including government or government-sponsored student loans and official financial sponsorships. However, applicants are barred from using overdrafts, cryptocurrency, stocks, and certain types of bank accounts.
