Ukraine Demands Tougher US Sanctions After Coca-Cola Plant Attack
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has called for tougher US sanctions against Russia following a strike on a Coca-Cola plant in the Kyiv region. The attack, which occurred on September 3, caused a fire at the facility and damaged its equipment.
Sybiha described the Russian strike as a 'deliberate attack on American business' and stated that it is part of a broader strategy to damage the US economy and push American companies out of international markets. The foreign minister emphasized that 'only strength will put Moscow in its place.'
The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, also commented on the attack, stating that Russia could not have been unaware that it was striking an American enterprise.
