ULA Secures $1.5 Billion in Private Bonds to Fuel Future Growth
Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp.'s rocket joint venture, United Launch Alliance (ULA), has successfully completed a $1.5 billion private-bond deal. This is triple the original amount ULA had planned to raise, which was $500 million.
The four portions of debt offered by ULA have maturities ranging from three to 10 years, according to sources familiar with the matter. The increased demand for these bonds suggests that investors are confident in ULA's prospects, particularly given its role as a rocket launch provider for both the US military and commercial clients like Amazon.com Inc.
This funding will likely be used to support ULA's ongoing operations and future growth initiatives. With this additional capital, the joint venture can continue to invest in new technologies and expand its capabilities, further solidifying its position in the space industry.
