ULA Seeks $500M in Private Bond Sale
United Launch Alliance (ULA), the rocket joint venture owned by Boeing and Lockheed Martin, is planning to raise approximately $500 million through a private bond placement. The funds will be used to refinance existing debt.
The private bonds will not be registered or offered in public markets. Instead, they will be sold directly to institutional investors. This approach allows companies to avoid the volatility of public offerings.
The private placement market has seen record issuance this year, with notable borrowers including the National Football League and Brady Corp. The transaction is being arranged by US Bancorp, Mizuho Financial Group Inc., and Wells Fargo & Co.
