Underwear Inspires Moody Bedroom Makeover in Just Seven Days

Vickiann Vachula, creator of My Crappy House blog, transformed her primary bedroom in just seven days. The room had been neglected for years with primer on the walls and no molding or decor.

Vickiann was embarrassed about the state of the room, but her husband's upcoming trip gave her the motivation to redo it. She initially planned to do everything herself, but her friend arrived and helped install molding and paint.

Vickiann brought a pair of soft-colored underwear to the paint store as inspiration for the color palette. She chose three colors - Sherwin-Williams' Coquina, Sealskin, and Benjamin Moore's Vintage Wine - to create a moody and dreamy tone in the room.
