UniCredit Teams Up With Accenture and IBM for Next-Gen Banking Platform

UniCredit has formed a strategic partnership with Accenture and IBM to revamp its technology infrastructure across 13 European markets. The collaboration aims to create a next-generation banking platform that combines mission-critical systems with cloud, data, and artificial intelligence capabilities.

The agreement will enable UniCredit to gain greater control over the evolution of its technology while enhancing its ability to introduce digital services and scale AI across the organization.

As part of the deal, Accenture will acquire IBM's majority interest in the joint venture that currently manages a significant portion of UniCredit's technology infrastructure. IBM will continue to support UniCredit by providing modernized IBM Z systems, software, and consulting services.
