Unisys Bolsters MDR with Integrated Microsoft Security Copilot
Unisys has integrated Microsoft Security Copilot into its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution, announced in a press release dated September 1, 2026. The updated MDR offering combines Microsoft Security Copilot with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel to provide centralized visibility across security environments.
The AI-powered agents within the solution automate tasks including phishing triage, threat intelligence analysis, and aspects of incident investigation and response. The solution is delivered through Unisys's global security operations center and is designed to help organizations adopt Microsoft Security Copilot with a structured approach to governance and integration.
According to Philip Swarbrick, vice president of cybersecurity solutions at Unisys, 'Organizations are eager to realize the benefits of AI in their security operations, but success requires more than simply deploying new technology.' He added that effective cybersecurity relies on the right combination of technology, processes, and expertise.
The enhanced MDR solution includes additional features such as automated evaluation and suppression of low-risk incidents when confidence thresholds are met, reduced context-switching by unifying Defender, Sentinel, and Security Copilot into a single workflow, and improved visibility across endpoints, identities, cloud workloads, and networks.
