United Airlines Flight Diverted After Intoxicated Passenger Assaults Crew
A United Airlines Boeing 777 flight from Milan to Newark was diverted to Bangor, Maine after an intoxicated passenger allegedly assaulted crew members.
The incident occurred on September 8 when Kristina Kedysheva became increasingly combative after being refused additional alcohol. She reportedly demanded more drinks, filmed the crew, and bit and kicked a flight attendant during an attempt to restrain her.
The crew sought assistance from passengers and an off-duty pilot before securing Kedysheva with flexi-cuffs and diverting the aircraft to Bangor.
