United Airlines Revives Flights to Tel Aviv as Israel Reopens to Commercial Air Travel
United Airlines is set to resume flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) on September 8, following a suspension since February. The route will initially operate with two daily Boeing 787-10 services in each direction, matching the schedule before the suspension.
The restoration of flights to Tel Aviv is part of United Airlines' plan to revive its operations in Israel, which was severely impacted by the suspension. By November, the airline plans to increase the frequency of flights to three daily services, with some rotations using the smaller 787-9 aircraft.
United's Boeing 787-10 aircraft will offer 318 seats, including 44 Polaris business class, 21 Premium Plus, and 253 economy seats. The return journey from Tel Aviv to Newark is expected to take around 11 hours and 50 minutes.
