United Airlines Rolls Out Upgraded Boeing 787-9 on Tokyo/Houston Route

United Airlines is set to introduce its upgraded Boeing 787-9 aircraft on its Tokyo/Narita, Houston route. The new cabin interior, dubbed 'Elevated', features a range of premium amenities for business and economy class passengers. The aircraft will be deployed daily from October 24, with the first flight departing from Tokyo/Narita the following day.

The Boeing 787-9 will feature United Polaris Studio business class seats, which come with private suites that have doors facing the aisle. Each suite includes a companion ottoman with a seatbelt, as well as amenities like Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé champagne and caviar. The new design increases the size of each suite by 25% compared to previous United Polaris seats.

Premium economy passengers will have access to a 2-3-2 seating configuration with 35 seats, while economy class will feature 188 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. Both classes will come equipped with high-definition monitors for entertainment. Starlink Wi-Fi service will also be available free of charge to MileagePlus members.
