United Airlines Unveils Upgraded Boeing 787-9 on Tokyo Route
United Airlines is introducing its new Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the Tokyo/Narita, Houston route, starting October 24. The plane features the 'Elevated' cabin interior, which includes upgraded business-class seats and amenities.
The business-class section will have 56 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, each with a private suite featuring doors facing the aisle. These suites are 25% larger than previous United Polaris seats and come equipped with 27-inch 4K monitors, USB-C power, and wireless charging.
Passengers will also enjoy Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé champagne, wine pairings, and an exclusive inflight dining service including caviar. Additionally, they'll receive hooded pajamas and slippers, noise-canceling headphones, amenity kits, playing cards, and Saks Fifth Avenue bedding.
The Boeing 787-9 will also feature Premium Economy seats with 35 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration and Economy seats with 188 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. Starlink Wi-Fi service will be offered for free to MileagePlus members.
