United Cancels 9/11 Flyover Over Community Concerns
A planned flyover of a United Airlines Boeing 777 by four fighter jets in Denver was canceled on September 11, 2026, after community concerns. United Airlines still plans to unveil a monument made from World Trade Center steel honoring the airline crew members aboard Flights 175 and 93. The 9-foot-11-inch monument is a tribute to those lost during the attacks.
