United Expands Premium Boeing 787-9 Service to Eight Routes
United Airlines will expand its premium service to eight routes using the Boeing 787-9 aircraft, starting in October 2026. The new service includes flights from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to São Paulo, Sydney, and Tokyo Narita, with London Heathrow Airport joining on January 5, 2027.
The Elevated network will offer a premium-heavy Dreamliner experience, featuring 222 seats across three classes: Polaris, Premium Plus, and standard economy. The 64-seat Polaris section uses a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access at every seat, while the 35-seat Premium Plus cabin caters to high-end travelers.
Andrew Nocella, United Airlines' executive, said, 'We never stand still and are always looking for more ways to set ourselves apart from other carriers. And we're confident this elevated experience will take international flying to new heights.'
