United Samaritans Foundation Seeks Community Help to Replace Aging Food Trucks
The United Samaritans Foundation (USF) is a nonprofit organization that provides essential services to vulnerable populations in Turlock, Hughson, and surrounding areas. Their Daily Bread lunch truck program serves over 30,000 meals per month to senior citizens, veterans, families, and individuals in need.
USF relies on donations and volunteers from community organizations, businesses, and individuals to maintain their services. Recently, Home Depot's Team Depot Project and Romanoff Flooring renovated USF's food pantry facility at the Hughson location for $9,600, a project valued at $9,600 that was completed on July 24.
The foundation is currently seeking community partners to help replace two aging food delivery trucks under their Road to Hope campaign. The cost of replacing each truck is $250,000, and USF has four trucks in total, with three operating out of the Turlock facility and one out of Hughson.
