United Way and Google Team Up for Free Skills Training
United Way of West Central Mississippi has partnered with Grow with Google to offer 500 free scholarships for online courses. The initiative aims to provide individuals with practical skills in various fields, including data analytics, project management, cybersecurity, and digital marketing.
The scholarships are available to adults aged 18 and older, and no prior experience is required to participate. Courses are completed online, allowing participants to learn at their own pace and around other responsibilities.
United Way Executive Director Michele Connelly stated that 'financial security begins with access to opportunity.' The organization's partnership with Grow with Google supports its Financial Security impact area, focusing on helping individuals and families overcome barriers and build stable financial futures.
