Unofficial App Brings Back Samsung's Discontinued Messaging Experience

A developer has created an unofficial app called Messages by OzarksMade to replace Samsung's discontinued Messages app, which was part of the One UI messaging experience.

The new app closely resembles Samsung's original layout and even supports RCS (Rich Communication Services) through a companion mode that uses Google Messages in the background as the RCS engine.

This solution is not affiliated with Samsung and may raise concerns about branding infringement, but it provides an alternative for those who miss the old layout.

The app is currently in beta and available only to US users who join a Google group using their phone's Google account. It costs $0.99, but during the beta phase, users won't be charged as they would see a 'Test Card' payment option instead.
